Last week, I posted some ideas for your kiddos' Thanksgiving table but everywhere I turn, I keep seeing more great ideas! So I couldn't help but do a part two.
Have you discovered The Savvy Mom's Guide yet? If not, you have to add it to your daily must-read list. Amy and Bri are moms who share lots of great ideas and projects. But my favorite feature on their site is their play date parties. Every month, they throw a themed play date bash that boggles the mind. Please, Amy and Bri, if you have any spots open in your playgroup, call me! I have two cutie pies who'd love to join.
The theme for this month's play date was "Whoot of Thanks" and one thing's for sure - they had tons to be thankful for at this party!
The talented duo at Anders Ruff created a set of "Whoot of Thanks" printables that incorporated fall colors and owls and then Amy and Bri worked their magic.
Is that table set up amazing or what? And get this - they put most of it together with items they had on hand or bought in the Dollar Section at Target. See the placemats in the middle photo blow?
They just laminated scrapbook paper with a leaf on top. So simple and so cute!
The kiddos created owls out of pinecones.
And the treats not only fit in perfectly with the theme but were healthy too. Who wouldn't want to dig in to this turkey made from fruit, veggies and cheese?
Such fabulous ideas that you could easily incorporate into your kid's table this Thanksgiving or your own thankful party. Amy and Bri, we give "Whoot of Thanks" for you! {Photos by Racz Photography}
When I spotted this fabulous kid's table on Fiskars, I couldn't believe my eyes. I mean, really, is this fantastic or what?
The turkey leg place card does double duty as a treat holder, and yes, it's just made from a paper bag.
Did you notice the paper pie in the picture above? It's got a second purpose too! If dinner is running late, just open the top and presto! It holds some snacks to tide the kiddies over.
Paper cups get the Mayflower treatment.
And these fun turkey clips keep the silverware in place.
When there's down-time in between courses, the Pilgrim's Hat filled with crayons will come in handy.
And if the natives really start getting restless, they can make some Native American-inspired headbands.
Last but note least, a Thankful Tree not only acts as a centerpiece but also a great way for your children to celebrate Thanksgiving in the truest sense of the word.
Fabulous!
And here are some free printables to help make your Thanksgiving just as fab!
Cindy at Skip to My Lou created these fun dinner conversation starters.
Anna and Blue Paperie designed a full Thanksgiving set including an invitation:
Food labels:
And my favorite, the "who ate what" place cards:
Catch My Party has a delightful hounds tooth set which was created by Paper Dolls Shoppe.
I love the coordinating thankful banner:
And Stacy from Inkspot Workshop put together a funky, modern set she calls TOM.
Aren't the patterns fun?
I hope you're getting some inspiration on how to make Thanksgiving dinner a little more fun for your little ones. Because happy kids equals happy mom, right?
