For day 18 of the HOLIDAY FREEBIE FESTIVAL, I'm featuring a printable I've already used. Twice. I found it over on Simply Modern Mom and it was designed by one of my favorite bloggers, Ez from Creature Comforts. It's perfect for anyone who want her gifts to look fabulous but doesn't necessarily have the time - or the skill - to make it happen.
Yes, that's a printable bow! Just print it out and stick it on any old bag or box and presto! Instant show stopper.
They even double as gift tags.
The bows come in the two colors show above and there's also a color-your-own version that's great for letting your little Picassos add a personal touch to your presents. Does it get any more fabulous - or simple - that that?
Download the printable bows at here at Simply Modern Mom and if you have a free holiday printable you'd like to share, enter it into the link up below!

Holiday Freebie Festival, Day 11! {FREEBIES}
It's Day 11 of our HOLIDAY FREEBIE FESTIVAL and today's pick from the link up is a great holiday craft to do with your kiddos from Catholic Icing - a DIY Nativity Set!
Print out the coloring pages and let your children do their thing. Then cut out the different people and animals, glue them to toilet paper or paper towel rolls and your little ones will have a nativity set they can play with to their heart's content.
Is that a great idea or what? Such a fun way to teach children what Christmas is really about.
Download the coloring sheets and get the full how-to at Catholic Icing and if you have a free holiday printable you'd like to share, enter it into the link up below!

Holiday Freebie Festival, Day 2! {FREEBIES}
Yay! Our list of fabulous free holiday printables is growing! In case you're wondering what the snowball the HOLIDAY FREEBIE FESTIVAL is, I thought it would be great to have a one-stop spot where you can find all of the great designs out there, and where anyone who has created one can share it. Everyday throughout December, I'll feature one from the link up here on AFOMFT and hopefully, someone will come up with something New Year's themed so I'm not still sharing Christmas freebies on December 30th (hint, hint!).
For day 2, I chose to highlight something from a blog that's new to me called Today's Fabulous Finds {Tomorrow's Treasures}. Janet shares some amazing tutorials over there and I was totally blown away by this one.
And get this - those phrases? Are the free printables! Janet printed them out onto scrapbook paper and then attached to something brilliant:
Yes, those are paint stirrer sticks! Look at how easy the transformation from utility tool to holiday decor was:

I think those little holiday signs are darling! And you could use them so many ways - as ornaments like above or as gift tags. There are so many wonderful sayings, you could even give the set as a gift.

And if paintstick ornament signs aren't your thing, you could easily print the phrases out and use them for other projects too. Maybe Modge Podge them on to a canvas to make your own subway art? Fun!
Visit Today's Fabulous Finds {Tomorrow's Treasures} to download the phrases and get the whole how to for the ornaments. If you have a free holiday printable you'd like to share, enter it into the link up below!

The Holiday Freebie Festival Begins! {FREEBIES}
I am totally amazed by all of the fabulous free printables that are out there for the holidays this year! I try to share a lot of them on our Facebook page but if you're anything like I am, you probably forget to bookmark them or you print them out and then forget where they were from when you want to share them with someone else. So I thought it would be great to have a one-stop spot where you can find them all, and where anyone who has created one can share it. And everyday throughout December, I'll post one from this link up here on AFOMFT. Hopefully, someone will come up with something New Year's themed so I'm not still sharing Christmas freebies on December 30th (hint, hint!).
So let's kick off this little HOLIDAY FREEBIE FESTIVAL with a very sweet print I saw this morning from Rebecca at Fresh Chick Design Studio. Isn't it adorable?
I love the cheerful colors and the fun patterns.
I've been meaning to try my hand at those glitter trees (check out this great tutorial from eighteen25) and now I have the perfect reason to get my glitz on!
Visit Fresh Chick Design Studio to download this print in 8.5 x 11 or 11 x 14, and if you have a free holiday printable you'd like to share, enter it into the link up below.

CRAFTASTIC: The Lazy Mom's DIY Advent Calendar
I had all of the great ideas for Advent calendars this year. I saved a bunch of Gabrielle & Alaina's baby socks to create this Stocking version from Martha Stewart.
But their footwear wasn't nearly as cute as the ones Martha used so that idea went out the window. I thought about trying to make this felt ornament calendar from Shannon Makes Stuff:
I love how when you flip each ornament, there's something fun on the back!
But my sewing machine skills are still pretty pathetic so I crossed that one off my list.
The how-to for this Shoe Organizer Countdown from eighteen25 is super simple and includes a downloadable file for the numbers:
But all of my closet doors are actually already housing shoe organizers - full of shoes! - so I considered another eighteen25 creation - the Snowflake Countdown.
Each flake has a fun Christmas-themed activity on the back to complete.
But just the thought of cutting them all out made me tired.
Then I saw this easy peasy Paper Tree Advent Calendar at Ikat Bag.
But I figured those would be more fun to do with the kiddos and by the time I get Gabrielle and Alaina to decorate 24 trees, Christmas would already be here!
So what was a lazy mom like me to do? Come up with the world's simplest DIY Advent Calendar ever!
Isn't it cute? It honestly took me 15 minutes to put together and chances are you already have everything you'll need to make it on hand.
SUPPPLIES:
*One mini muffin tin with 24 spots (you could spray paint it white or red if you want but in case you didn't guess, I was way too lazy for that!)
*Double stick tape (or a glue stick)
*Ribbon
*Numbers for the countdown (I downloaded these freebies from Oh My Gluestick and printed them on plain paper)
*A paper punch or scissors
*Treats for each day
INSTRUCTIONS:
1. First punch or cut out all of your numbers. You'll see my scalloped 2 inch punch in the picture above but I actually ended up using my 2.5 inch round punch because the sizing was better. If you don't have a paper punch, you can cut them out in square shapes or trace a cup or can and cut out the circles. Here's what mine looked like after the punching:
2. Fill your muffin spots with a daily treat. I used ornament stickers and a Hershey's kiss every fourth day but you can put whatever you want in. I like the idea of the Christmas activities you can do together from eighten25 - download their list HERE.
3. Next, put small pieces of double stick tape around the back of the countdown numbers. You could also use glue dots or a glue stick to do this but I figured double stick tape would be the easiest to pull off.
4. Stick each countdown number to the appropriate muffin spot. I also added sign at the top that I created on Picnik. You can download it HERE.
5. Flip your muffin tin over and secure a length of ribbon to the back for hanging. I used glue dots because I had them handy but you could also hot glue it or if you're REALLY lazy, use some packing tape.
6. Hang your Lazy Mom's Advent Calendar on the wall! I used a Command Strip hook because it's so simple and taking it off is a breeze if you don't get the spot exactly right the first time.
Voila! And the best part is that after Christmas rolls around, you can pull everything off your muffin tin and go back to using it for its actual purpose.
If my lazy booty can craft this sucker up, then you can too! If you make your own version, send us pictures so we can feature it here on AFOMFT!
