I don't know what's in the water, but I've had a lot of new babies to buy for recently and finding the right gift is always tough.  My friend, Amy, had the same dilemma, so when a mutual friend of ours had a baby girl, she and her husband, Eric, decided to make something instead.  Our friend is an avid snowboarder so they came up with a onesie with this sassy saying:

Handmade With Heart {GIVEAWAY}

It Don't Mean a Thing If You Ain't Got That Bling {GIVEAWAY & DISCOUNT}

Want to know how I'm sure Gabrielle and Alaina are girly girls?  They are obsessed with jewelry.  Even as a newborn, Gaby always grabbed for anything with bling, and for the past six months, Alaina has managed to transform everything from bath toys to hair elastics into makeshift bracelets.  They're not even two yet but they know they like their jewels.  Guess they take after their mama!

And the birthstone bracelets seemed fitting since I was looking for something for the girls to wear for their birthday.

But what really grabbed my eye were the Freshwater Pearl designs.  Shannon from Sweet Baby Girl was so generous to send me two with heart charms for Gabrielle and Alaina, and when they arrived, I was overwhelmed by the cuteness.

Aren't they darling?  They fit the girls' wrists perfectly and they loved wearing them (pardon the lack of photos but trying to get two almost-two-year-olds to stay still and show off their bracelets is no simple task!).  I was super impressed by how well-made they are - even after my duo tugged at them, they were no worse for the wear - and I love the idea that Gabrielle and Alaina will be able to wear them for special occasions for the next few years and then I'll pack them away as keepsakes.  Maybe the girls will use them as their something old when they get married or pass them down to their own daughters someday.

Sweet Baby Girl has so many wonderful designs that will work for any occasion for your little one.  The cross necklaces and bracelets would make wonderful baptism or first communion gifts.

And their charms are perfect for a present you can keep on giving.  You can choose either a necklace or bracelet as a base and add to it over the years.  I like this bracelet with an initial as a starting point.

Cutey Booty {GIVEAWAY}

In my humble opinion, there is nothing cuter than a baby's bottom and those cute little bums should be clad in the cutest bloomers and boxers.  Enter the very appropriately named Cutey Booty.

When Angie and Whitney, friends who met in infant massage class, were frustrated by the clothes they found for their children, Cutey Booty was born.  Each pair of patootys (for girls) and dudeys (for boys) is made in their home state of South Carolina and comes in two choices of fabric.  The Bamboo, which is anti-bacterial, breathable and odor-resistant, is a cream color with your choice of a lime, coral or mist colored letter.

While the Moda is made from 100% premium moda bella cotton and comes in coral, lime or mint colored bloomers or boxers with a cream letter outlined in a contrasting stitching.

As soon as I saw the super sweet patootys, I knew I had to have them for Gabrielle and Alaina.  The bamboo bloomers arrived with darling packaging but I couldn't wait to tear them open.

They were even more adorable then I thought they'd be!  And that's saying something because I was sure they'd be REALLY adorable.

You can't tell very well from that photo but there are snaps on the crotch that coordinate with the letters on the bum.  It's little details like the snap color that show just how well they're made.  And let me tell you - they are SOFT!  I need to get myself some bamboo clothing because it is comfy.  But enough of the quality talk - you have to see these things on!

Could you just die???  I think Gabrielle and Alaina knew they were looking good because they were strutting around, showing off their patootys like nobody's business.

And can you believe they look as cute from the front as they do from behind?

If I had my way, the girls would be sporting their Cutey Booty bloomers every day.  That's how much I love them.
